Bonnets for Buddies is an project inspired by our rescue dog, Abigail. Abigail was used a bait in a dog fighting ring in the Miami area. She was discarded like trash when she was of no more use to her abusers. When Abigail was found, the right side of her face was literally missing. The odds of her surviving were against her. Abigail's rescuers performed a number of surgeries on her to save her life. During her recovery, the head wraps that were used to protect her wounds were dressed up with headbands and bows AKA bonnets. Abigail's bonnets became her signature look! To date, she has more than 400 bonnets, both hand-made and store bought, from people that love her from all over the world.

We have been asked on many occasions where people can purchase bonnets for their pup/s. We don't sell bonnets, as all of Abigail's have been sent as gifts to her. So, we decided we would help other abused, sick or injured animals by making bonnets for them at no cost. We can make for both boy & girl pups.
